CANCER CENTER SHOWS VICTORIAN STYLE

Architect Steve Fenwick had a design challenge: create a modern outpatient cancer treatment center, complete with linear accelerator, that would fit into a historic neighborhood. The result is Shore Memorial Cancer Center in Somers Point, N.J.
Fenwick, principal at Fenwick Architects, Linwood, N.J., explains that Somers Point is a harbor town, and the street on which the cancer center was built dates to 1660s. Some restored homes in the neighborhood date from the early 1800s.
